Not so much as to drown out the content, but enough to keep kids engaged in an age where they demand more. They're certainly not as engaging as the latest Putt-Putt adventure, which makes me wonder if perhaps The Leaning Company should have invested more on the graphics side. From watching my 7-year-old playtester, however, I'd say that the Reader Rabbit packages don't really hold his attention overall. They certainly could have been better, although some would argue that flash and style are not the point of educational software, and they would be correct. This is good news for them, although their kids might be less than thrilled. Parents should know that this package will work on reading skills without extraneous games bogging down the process. The Learning Company obviously steeps its software in an educational - as opposed to an edutainment - background, which is good. The player sorts Dancer's names in ascending order, sorts Dancer's names by the first letters, sorts Dancer's names by the second letters and sorts Dancer's names by the first and second letters.Reader Rabbit 2 is a solid piece of educational software which really helps younger children become better readers, although it's not without its flaws.

The player matches opposite words, matches homonyms, matches rhyming words and matches difficult rhymes. Match Patch - There are four levels of difficulty in this game. The player matches short vowels, matches long vowels, matches a mix of short and long vowels and matches short and long vowels together.

The player can bridge two meaningful compound words together, blend the first few letters with ending letters, blend the last few letters with beginning letters and type fitting letters to complete a word.

The player can progress through the difficulty modes to get to a higher one. The four activities are the same as Reader Rabbit 2, but with different modes included. It is a remake of Reader Rabbit 2, with a thorough graphical makeover with the inclusion of Mat the Mouse, Pop and Ernest the Train. Reader Rabbit 2 Deluxe (stylized as Deluxe! Reader Rabbit 2) is a video game released by The Learning Company in 1994.
